Hydration fluid (normal saline)
Evidence snapshot: Well established for fluid replacement when clinically indicated.
What is it? A sterile salt-and-water solution similar to the fluid around the body’s cells.
What does it do in the body? It expands circulating fluid and helps maintain fluid and electrolyte balance.
Why might it be used? Used for medically appropriate hydration and as the fluid that carries selected IV ingredients.
Potential benefits: It can replace fluid when intake has been low or fluid losses have occurred. It is not a cure-all, and people who are not dehydrated may notice little benefit.
How is it given? IV infusion.
How often might someone receive it? May be given once or as needed after evaluation. Frequency depends on symptoms, fluid status, kidney and heart health, medicines, and response.
How long might someone receive it? Usually a single visit or short-term use; repeated use requires reassessment.
Important considerations: Too much fluid or salt can worsen swelling, blood pressure, heart failure, or kidney problems. IV-site irritation and infection are uncommon but possible.
Where do we use it? Basic Hydration and the fluid base of eligible Hushed infusions.
Vitamin C (ascorbic acid)
Evidence snapshot: Well established for treating deficiency; evidence for broad wellness outcomes is developing or mixed.
What is it? A water-soluble vitamin and antioxidant.
What does it do in the body? It helps make collagen, supports wound healing and iron absorption, and helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
Why might it be used? Used when added vitamin C is clinically appropriate, including selected infusion formulas and the High-Dose Vitamin C Add-On.
Potential benefits: Correcting deficiency is well established. Research on high-dose IV vitamin C for fatigue, infection, cancer, and other conditions is mixed or condition-specific; it should not be described as proven to prevent or cure illness.
How is it given? IV infusion.
How often might someone receive it? One-time, short-series, or periodic use may be considered. Dose and frequency depend on history, kidney function, iron-storage disorders, glucose testing methods, and the clinical goal.
How long might someone receive it? Varies from one visit to a limited series; ongoing treatment requires review.
Important considerations: Possible nausea, flushing, headache, vein irritation, kidney stones or kidney injury, and inaccurate readings on some glucose meters. Screening may include kidney function and G6PD status for higher doses.

B-complex vitamins
Evidence snapshot: Well established for preventing or treating specific vitamin deficiencies; evidence for extra energy in people without deficiency is limited.
What is it? A group of water-soluble vitamins involved in metabolism, including forms of B1, B2, B3, B5, and B6; the exact formula may vary.
What does it do in the body? They help the body use carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and support nerves, blood cells, and many enzyme reactions.
Why might it be used? Used to provide selected B vitamins when the formula and patient assessment support them.
Potential benefits: Benefits are clearest when a deficiency or increased need is present. People commonly report interest in energy support, but extra B vitamins do not reliably create energy when levels are already adequate.
How is it given? IV infusion; selected B vitamins may also be part of an IM injection.
How often might someone receive it? May be one-time or periodic. Frequency depends on diet, symptoms, medical conditions, medications, laboratory findings when useful, and response.
How long might someone receive it? Short-term or periodic use; longer use requires attention to dose and cumulative exposure.
Important considerations: Flushing, nausea, urine color change, headache, or injection-site discomfort can occur. Repeated high doses of some forms, especially B6, can injure nerves; niacin can affect blood pressure, glucose, liver tests, or cause flushing.

Vitamin B12
Evidence snapshot: Well established for treating and preventing B12 deficiency.
What is it? A water-soluble vitamin available in several forms. The specific injectable form is selected by the clinic and pharmacy product.
What does it do in the body? It is needed for red blood cell formation, nerve health, and DNA production.
Why might it be used? Used when B12 support is medically appropriate, especially for deficiency, absorption problems, dietary risk, or certain medication-related risks.
Potential benefits: Treating deficiency can improve blood counts and related neurologic symptoms. Claims of weight loss or a large energy increase in people with adequate B12 are not well established.
How is it given? IM injection and, in selected formulas, IV infusion.
How often might someone receive it? Schedules can range from a short loading series to monthly or other maintenance. The cause and severity of deficiency, symptoms, labs, and response guide timing.
How long might someone receive it? May be short-term or longer-term when an ongoing absorption problem or risk factor remains.
Important considerations: Injection-site discomfort, rash, headache, dizziness, or low potassium during rapid correction of severe anemia can occur. Allergy is rare. Certain eye conditions and cobalt sensitivity require caution.

Magnesium
Evidence snapshot: Well established for correcting deficiency and for several specific medical indications; broad wellness benefits depend on the person and dose.
What is it? An essential mineral found throughout the body.
What does it do in the body? It helps nerves and muscles work, supports heart rhythm and bone, and participates in energy and protein reactions.
Why might it be used? Used as a selected mineral in certain IV formulas when clinically appropriate.
Potential benefits: Correcting low magnesium is established. Evidence for migraine prevention exists mainly for specific oral or hospital-based uses; an outpatient infusion is not automatically appropriate for every headache. Other wellness effects are mixed.

How often might someone receive it? One-time or periodic use may be considered based on symptoms, kidney function, medicines, dose, and sometimes laboratory results.

Calcium
Evidence snapshot: Well established for treating low calcium in appropriate medical settings.
What is it? An essential mineral and electrolyte.
What does it do in the body? It supports bones, muscle contraction, nerve signaling, blood clotting, and heart function.
Why might it be used? Used in selected formulas when the provider determines it is appropriate.
Potential benefits: Benefits are clearest when calcium is low or there is another recognized indication. Routine IV calcium for general wellness has limited supporting evidence.
How is it given? IV infusion.
How often might someone receive it? Usually based on a specific clinical reason, medication review, response, and laboratory information when applicable.

Zinc and trace minerals
Evidence snapshot: Well established for correcting documented deficiency; evidence for extra benefit when levels are adequate is limited or mixed.
What is it? Zinc and other trace minerals are nutrients the body needs in small amounts.
What does it do in the body? Zinc supports enzymes, wound healing, taste and smell, DNA production, and normal immune function. Other trace minerals have their own enzyme and structural roles.
Why might it be used? Used in selected formulas when nutritional support is appropriate. The exact trace-mineral product may vary.
Potential benefits: Correcting deficiency is established. Adequate zinc is important for health, but extra zinc has not been proven to prevent illness in everyone.
How is it given? IV infusion.
How often might someone receive it? Usually one-time, short-series, or periodic use. Diet, medical history, kidney function, labs when applicable, and total exposure guide frequency.
How long might someone receive it? Short-term or periodic. Long-term high zinc can cause copper deficiency and should be monitored.
Important considerations: Nausea, headache, metallic taste, vein irritation, and mineral imbalance are possible. Antibiotics and other medicines may affect timing or suitability.

Glutathione
Evidence snapshot: Its normal antioxidant role is well established; evidence for injected glutathione as a general wellness treatment is limited.
What is it? An antioxidant the body makes from amino acids.
What does it do in the body? It helps cells manage oxidative stress and supports normal processing of certain compounds.
Why might it be used? Offered as a selected IM injection, slow IV push, or part of a formula when clinically appropriate.
Potential benefits: Its biological role is clear, but many injected wellness claims—including broad “detox,” anti-aging, or skin-lightening claims—are not proven. Evidence varies by condition and route.
How is it given? IM injection or slow IV push. The standalone IV push is 200 mg (1 mL).
How often might someone receive it? May be one-time or periodic after review; there is no universal wellness schedule.
How long might someone receive it? A single visit or limited/periodic use. Continued use depends on response and reassessment.
Important considerations: Nausea, headache, flushing, breathing reactions, low blood pressure, and allergy can occur. Sterile product quality is especially important; FDA has reported serious reactions tied to contaminated compounded glutathione.

NAD+
Evidence snapshot: Essential biology is well established; clinical benefits of IM or IV NAD+ for wellness remain limited and emerging.
What is it? Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide is a coenzyme found in every cell.
What does it do in the body? It helps cells transfer energy from food, supports DNA repair pathways, and participates in many cell signals.
Why might it be used? Offered as a provider-directed wellness injection program. It is not presented as a proven anti-aging treatment.
Potential benefits: Human studies of NAD-related oral precursors show biological effects, but results for symptoms and function are mixed. Recent reviews found no qualifying outcomes trials of IM or IV NAD+ itself for anti-aging or wellness, so benefits remain uncertain.
How is it given? IM injection in the programs listed here.
How often might someone receive it? Frequency is individualized. The initial program uses twice-weekly dosing only after provider evaluation and when clinically appropriate.
How long might someone receive it? A short starter option or a four-week initial program may be used. Continuation and maintenance depend on tolerance, response, goals, and reassessment.
Important considerations: Injection-site pain, nausea, headache, fatigue, flushing, or other reactions may occur. Compounded sterile-product quality matters; FDA has reported adverse events associated with unsuitable NAD+ ingredients.

What is it? A nutrient the body makes from amino acids and also obtains from food.
What does it do in the body? It moves long-chain fatty acids into mitochondria, where cells can use them in energy production.
Why might it be used? Used in selected wellness and performance formulas.
Potential benefits: It treats certain deficiency states. Studies of exercise performance, recovery, insulin sensitivity, and weight change have mixed results; it should not be described as a fat burner.
How is it given? IV infusion or IM injection as formulated.
How often might someone receive it? One-time, short-series, or periodic use may be considered based on the formula, health history, kidney function, seizure history, medications, and response.

Evidence snapshot: Their normal nutrient roles are established; evidence that an MIC injection causes meaningful weight loss is limited.
What is it? Methionine is an essential amino acid; inositol is a vitamin-like compound; choline is an essential nutrient.
What does it do in the body? They participate in protein building, cell membranes, nerve signaling, methyl-group reactions, and normal liver fat transport.
Why might it be used? Combined in Hushed Sculpt to complement—not replace—nutrition, activity, and medically guided weight-management care.
Potential benefits: Each compound has important biological roles. Evidence for oral inositol in selected metabolic or reproductive conditions is developing, but evidence for compounded MIC injections as a stand-alone weight-loss treatment is limited.

How often might someone receive it? Usually a single medically supervised visit or short-term use, not a standing wellness schedule.
